What you need

cup basmati rice

bunch fresh thyme

tsp salt

oz butter
sweet onion
pigeon peas
Instructions
In a sauce pot over a low flame add butter, turmeric, onion, and thyme sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, add gungo peas then stir and mix for 1-2 minutes. Add washed rice mix until combined add salt to taste. Cover with a tight and let simmer for 20-30 minutes or until all the liquids are absorbed into the rice.View original recipe
